Erick Jordan

Deputy Chief, Strategic Partnerships Division at U.S. Space Command

Erick Jordan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent role was as the Deputy Chief of the Strategic Partnerships Division at the U.S. Space Command, where they were responsible for evaluating and researching policy and strategic engagement for all mission areas assigned to USSPACECOM. Prior to this, they worked at LinQuest as an International Engagements Advisor to USSPACECOM/J5, where they supported the development of plans, policies, and strategies for long-term strategic goals and objectives with various partners.

Before their time at LinQuest, Erick served as the Senior Defense Official and Defense Attaché to Zambia at the U.S. Embassy Lusaka. In this role, they managed the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Treatment Program and developed training programs for Zambian military personnel participating in UN peacekeeping operations. Erick also played a key role in the development of global peacekeeping gender policy.

Erick's experience also includes serving as the Senior Defense Official and Defense Attaché to Burundi at the Embassy of the United States in Bujumbura. In this position, they acted as the senior U.S. military representative for various high-ranking officials and executed Department of Defense objectives in coordination with the U.S. Embassy Country Team.

Additionally, Erick has held leadership positions at Pacific Air Forces, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, and the United States Air Force, where they focused on international engagements, strategic planning, and risk management. Erick has also served as Assistant Air Attaché to Italy at the Embassy of the United States in Rome and completed training with the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Throughout their career, Erick has demonstrated a strong ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships, provide policy support, and advise on military matters.

Erick Jordan graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2006 with a Masters of Arts degree in International Management. In 2015, they attended the Defense Institute of Security Cooperation Studies, where they obtained a degree as a Security Cooperation Manager - Overseas.

Prior to that, Erick Jordan studied at the United States Naval Academy from 1989 to 1993 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Erick Jordan has acquired various certifications, including a TS/SCI Clearance with Counter-Intelligence Polygraph from the United States Department of Defense in January 2020. Erick also holds the certification of Foreign Area Officer for Europe, Africa, and Indo-Asia-Pacific Regions, obtained from the United States Air Force in November 2010.
