Angela Buford, PE, is a seasoned professional in civil and structural engineering with extensive experience in both regulatory and engineering roles. Currently serving as Branch Chief at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission since January 2010, Angela has held key positions including Mechanical Engineering and Inservice Testing Branch Chief and Structural Engineer. Prior to this, Angela worked as an Associate Program Officer for Infrastructure at International Relief and Development from August 2009 to January 2010, and was a Structural Engineer at Weidlinger Associates, Inc. from August 2006 to August 2009. Angela began their career as a Project Engineer at SK&A Structural Engineers, PLLC from May 2005 to August 2006. Angela holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland.
