Matthew Hoekstra serves as the Branch Chief for Global Campaign Plans and Integration at NORAD & US Northern Command since August 2021. Matthew's previous experience includes roles as a Joint Contingency Planner and Graduate Student at the Joint Advanced Warfighting School. Matthew has held significant leadership positions within various military organizations, including Director of Commander's Action Group, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Director of Operations at Expeditionary Strike Group 3, where Matthew managed strategic initiatives and global deployments. Matthew's career encompasses roles in naval integration, emergency response, and operations across several ships and strike groups, culminating in extensive operational and management experience. Matthew's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan, a Master's in Joint Campaign Planning and Strategy from the Joint Advanced Warfighting School, and a recent certificate in Business Analytics from Harvard Business School Online.
