Kelly Weerts, CPA has over 20 years of work experience in the field of finance and accounting. Kelly is currently serving as the Director of Finance at U.S. Energy since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Shopko Optical as a Controller from September 2019 to August 2022. Kelly also held various positions at Shopko, including Vice President - Controller, Director - Corporate Accounting, and Manager, Financial Reporting from 2010 to 2019. Before joining Shopko, Kelly worked as a Senior Accountant at Integrys Energy Services from September 2007 to October 2010. Kelly also held the position of Assistant Corporate Accounting Manager at Bay Valley Foods in 2006. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Accounting Analyst - CFS at Miller Brewing Company from 2004 to 2006. Kelly started their career as a Senior Assurance Professional at Ernst & Young, where they worked from August 2001 to November 2004.

Kelly Weerts, CPA completed their education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Kelly attended the university from 1997 to 2001. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Accounting.
