Lerato Lebona, MPH, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public health, specializing in HIV and TB interventions. Currently serving as the PEPFAR Community Grants Program Director at the U.S. Embassy South Africa since May 2021, Lerato leads community-based grant initiatives. Previously, Lerato held various roles at University Research Co., LLC (URC) and the Centre for Sexualities, AIDS & Gender, where responsibilities included overseeing the Small Grants, Key Populations, and Public-Private Partnerships portfolios under the USAID TB South Africa Project. Lerato's expertise encompasses strategy development, stakeholder engagement, project management, and technical support for grassroots health interventions. Lerato holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of the Witwatersrand and a BA (Hons) in Social Behaviour Studies in HIV/AIDS from the University of South Africa.
