Sydney Gray

Sydney Gray is a dedicated social worker currently employed as a Sickle Cell Social Worker at Cayenne Wellness Center & Children’s Foundation, where behavioral health services are delivered to address the psychosocial needs of Black and Latinx individuals and families impacted by sickle cell disease. Additionally, Sydney serves as an MFP Fellow with the Council on Social Work Education, participating in the Minority Fellowship Program sponsored by SAMHSA, and works as a Social Work Intern within the Black Infant Health Program at the City of Long Beach, focusing on improving Black maternal and infant health outcomes. Previous experience includes internships in school social work, residential support for pregnant and parenting women, and roles in domestic violence advocacy and research related to parent-child engagement. Sydney holds a Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University.
