LaKesha Johnson (McIver) currently serves as a Criminal Tax Attorney for the IRS within the Office of Chief Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, a position held since April 2022. Prior to this role, LaKesha Johnson (McIver) worked at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office from March 2012 to April 2022, where responsibilities included prosecuting grand jury cases, juvenile delinquency cases, adult felonies, and juvenile offenses. LaKesha Johnson (McIver) also represented the Cuyahoga Support Enforcement Agency as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Child Support Unit between October 2011 and March 2012. Earlier experience includes a law clerk position at the City of Akron Department of Law's Civil Division and a physical inventory clerk role at Trumbull County Probate Court, along with work as a legal assistant at Hall & Kirkland, P.C. LaKesha Johnson (McIver) earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies and Psychology from Georgia Southern University.
