Briana Tarby serves as the Chief Musician and Co-Principal Oboe for the United States Coast Guard Band since September 2012, where responsibilities include representing the Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security musically. In addition, Briana has experience as a Musician First Class, handling procurement and travel orders, and has performed as a soloist with the concert band. Currently, as of October 2023, Briana is a Social Media Administration and Customer Support Assistant for Tempdrop, managing Instagram and Facebook accounts and supporting user inquiries. Prior experience includes an internship in the Musical Instruments Department at Christie's, where a database of valuable string instruments was created. Briana holds a Master of Music in Oboe from The New School and a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from Indiana University Bloomington.
