Marvin Benjamin Fried, Ph.D., FRHistS has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries.

Starting in 2010, Marvin began their career at NatWest Group as a Graduate Analyst. Over the years, they progressed within the company, taking on roles such as Assistant Director, Associate Relationship Director, and eventually becoming a Relationship Director in 2019. During their time at NatWest Group, Marvin gained valuable skills and knowledge in the financial sector.

In 2021, Marvin joined Tyl by NatWest, a subsidiary of NatWest Group. Marvin Benjamin started as the Head of Complaints and later transitioned to the role of Relationship Director. Currently, Marvin holds the position of Head of FinOps, where they are responsible for overseeing financial operations.

Additionally, alongside their corporate roles, Marvin has also been engaged in academia. Marvin Benjamin served as a Guest Lecturer at the London School of Economics from 2010, where they shared their expertise with students. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the same institution.

Marvin Benjamin Fried, Ph.D., FRHistS pursued their higher education in a systematic and focused manner. Marvin Benjamin began their academic journey in 1999 at Boston University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a dual major in International Relations and Psychology. Possessing a keen interest in international affairs, they then enrolled at The George Washington University from 2003 to 2005, pursuing a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs. This educational experience broadened their understanding of global dynamics and equipped him with specialized knowledge in this field.

Building on their previous achievements, Marvin went on to pursue a Ph.D. in International History at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2006 to 2011. This doctoral program allowed him to delve deeper into historical perspectives and enhance their expertise in the interconnectedness of different nations and cultures.

Through these three phases of their education, Marvin Benjamin Fried, Ph.D., FRHistS developed a solid foundation in international relations, psychology, international affairs, and international history.
