Elie W. has held a variety of roles in the past few years, beginning with a Legislative Aide at the Texas House of Representatives in 2015. In 2016, Elie W. became a Transit Analyst and Trainer at Apple. In 2017, Elie W. took on the role of Education Program Manager & DEI Lead at GirlForward. In 2020, Elie W. was a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Researcher & Facilitator at Harvard University Graduate School of Education. In 2021, Elie W. became a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist at K&L Gates. Currently, Elie W. is an Organizational Growth Associate at TXI.

Elie W. attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Rhetoric and Writing Honors and Brazilian Portuguese. In 2021, they obtained a Certificate of Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University. Elie W. is currently enrolled in Harvard Graduate School of Education and is pursuing a Master of Education (MEd).
