Kevin B.

Principal Research Engineer at Two Six Labs

Kevin B. has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Kevin started their career as a Security Officer at Alutiiq, where they provided physical security for a restricted government facility. Kevin then transitioned to the role of Systems Administrator at SAIC, where they provided tier-2 support and troubleshooting for enterprise services.

Kevin joined Electronic Warfare Associates as a Systems Administrator, where they supported the Distributed Common Ground System- Army program. Kevin also worked on Information Awareness Vulnerability Analysis remediation and contributed to accreditation documentation.

In 2011, Kevin became an Information Assurance Manager at T3 Solutions, LLC. Here, they implemented NIST, DIACAP, and DCID controls to achieve authorities to operate on multiple networks.

Kevin served in the US Army for several years in various roles. Kevin advanced to the rank of Staff Sergeant and deployed twice to combat zones as a Signals Intelligence Analyst. Kevin later served as a Systems Architect for NETCOM, 7th Signal Command, where they performed a range of cyber tasks in support of the organization's mission.

Currently, Kevin is working at Two Six Labs as a Principal Research Engineer. Kevin leads the Performance Integration and Testing team as part of the Field Operations group on the IKE project. Kevin is responsible for the technical aspects of IKE configuration, deployment, and implementation for operational customers on production networks.

Kevin B. completed their Associates in Spanish at the Defense Language Institute in 2004. Kevin then continued their education at Troy University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Applied Computer Science from 2008 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Kevin B. has also obtained several certifications. Kevin became a Certified Ethical Hacker through EC-Council in March 2015, achieved the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in January 2012, and became a Network Forensic Analyst certified by GIAC in November 2015. Kevin B. also obtained the CCNA certification from Cisco in August 2010 and the CCNP Routing and Switching certification in August 2016. Kevin has also acquired certifications in A+ and Security+ from CompTIA, and a Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft.
