Thora Balk has extensive work experience in the education field. Thora is currently working at Two Birds as the Director of Curriculum and Coaching. Prior to this role, they served as the Curriculum and Family Development Coach at Two Birds. Before joining Two Birds, Thora worked at BRIDGES PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL as the ECE Curriculum Coach and Coordinator. Thora spent a significant portion of their career at Capital City Public Charter School, where they held various roles, including Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher, and Early Childhood Director. Thora was also a founding teacher for the PK/K program at Capital City. Thora has been dedicated to the education sector since the year 2000.

Thora Balk obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Early Childhood from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Later, they pursued a Masters in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction, which they completed at the University of Scranton from 2007 to 2009.
