JP Coakley's work experience begins in 2005 as an English Teacher at ABC Foreign Language School. In 2007, they become a Project Manager at International Smart Sourcing. In 2009, they work as a Video Editor at both Rolling Stone Magazine and Independent Film Channel. From 2008 to 2016, they serve as an Audio Producer for Girl Talk (musician) and as a Quality Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company. Finally, in 2017, they become a Co-Founder of Two Birds.

JP Coakley completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Georgetown University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Polymer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, which they completed from 2000 to 2005.
