Jeff Jones, M.A. has a wealth of experience in the business and finance industry. Jeff began their career in 1991 as the Controller for SLC Enterprises, Inc., where they implemented accounting systems and processes that enabled the entity to grow over $17 million in 3 years and increased employee headcount from 35 to 700. In 1994, they became the General Manager and CFO of NRS (National Roper's Supply), where they were a leader and strategist for a leading retailer in the western lifestyle/equine enthusiast market. In 2006, they began working as a Business Editor for Tack n' Togs Magazine, where they wrote a bi-monthly column and articles on the areas of leadership, management, training, goal-setting, budgeting, information technology, human resource management and conflict resolution. In 2012, they founded Durango Consulting Solutions, which offers in-house staff training, executive and career coaching and speaking engagements to organizations. Jeff also began working as a Business Advisor for Collabradigm, where they served clients as a business advisory partner for financial, operational, sales and training needs. In 2013, they became the Operations Executive for Bloomer Trailer Manufacturing, Inc., where they assessed and created strategic solutions for leading manufacturer of custom living quarters horse trailers. In 2014, they took on the role of Key Account Manager - Core Region for Ariat International, where they managed sales and relationships with a Top 5 account and two other key accounts to increase Ariat exposure and drive sales with 20+% increases. In 2015, they became the CFO and Vice President of Finance and Administration for Twisted X, a leading innovator in western and casual footwear. In 2017, they began working as a Course Facilitator for the Masters of Arts in Conflict Management program at Abilene Christian University.
Jeff Jones, M.A. obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA in Accounting from Abilene Christian University between 1983 and 1987. Jeff then returned to Abilene Christian University to pursue their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation, which they completed in 2013. In May 2013, they also obtained a certification in Civil and Family Mediation from the State of Texas.
