Joey Laabs is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Instrument Software Engineer at Twist Bioscience since February 2018, Joey has previously held roles such as Senior Instrument Software Engineer and Instrument Software Engineer. Prior to Twist Bioscience, Joey worked at BD Genomics from January 2015 to February 2018, leading the back-end LabVIEW efforts to convert BD CLiC LP software for web functionality. Earlier experience includes a position as an Associate Software Developer at GenCell Biosystems, contributing to software solutions for the CLiC library prep machine. Joey Laabs holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completed in 2014.
