John Graves has extensive work experience in the paper industry. John began their career in 1993 at Bear Island Paper Company, where they served as a Production Engineer and later as a Superintendent of Finishing and Shipping. In 2000, Graves joined Resolute Forest Products as the Manager of Finishing and Shipping and Fiber Procurement, and later became the Recycle Team Leader. John held various managerial positions at Resolute, including Manager of Central Services, Manager of Information Technology, Best Practices, and Communications, and Services Manager. In 2019, Graves joined Twin Rivers Paper Company as the Director of Manufacturing Services, and eventually took on roles such as VP Operations New York and Mississippi, Vice President of Innovation and Productivity, and Group VP of Operations. Throughout their career, Graves has implemented various initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and quality, while also managing large teams and overseeing capital projects.

John Graves earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Wood Science and Wood Products/Pulp and Paper Technology from North Carolina State University. John later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Wood Science and Wood Products/Pulp and Paper Technology from the same university.
