Meelis Aus is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Director of Engineering at Twilio since May 2019, after previously holding the position of Senior Engineering Manager. Prior experience includes a Team Leader role at Helmes AS from August 2016 to April 2019, where leadership responsibilities extended beyond traditional expectations. Before Helmes, Meelis served as Radio Access Manager at Ericsson Eesti AS from 2008 to July 2016, overseeing service delivery for radio access networks in the Baltic region and supporting operations in Nordic countries and former CIS. Initial career roles at Ericsson included WRAN Integrator and 3G Integration Engineer, focused on 3G network rollouts in South Africa and Nigeria. Meelis holds an Executive MBA from SSE Riga and a Master of Science in Telecommunications from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology, alongside secondary education from Noarootsi Gymnasium.
