Mark Schmitz has a diverse work experience that spans from 2007 to 2013. Mark started their career as a Field Service Engineer at Toshiba International Corporation, where they commissioned adjustable speed drives for clients' applications and served as a liaison between technical support and field operations. Later, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer, testing experimental drives and synthesizing the results into reports. Mark also presented results and provided advisement at meetings. Additionally, Mark worked at RedHat Training & Coaching as a Red Hat System Administration Student, and at Tutor.com as a Mathematics and Physics Tutor.
Mark Schmitz attended Spring Woods High School, where they obtained a Distinguished Achievement Diploma. After high school, they went on to study Electrical Engineering at the University of Houston, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 2005. In addition to their formal education, Mark has obtained several certifications in various fields. In 2016, they completed a certification in Human Interaction Technology from the Human Communication Institute, LLC. In 2015, Mark received certifications in Using Python to Access Web Data from the University of Michigan, Electronic Interfaces from the University of California, Berkeley, and Embedded Systems from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2014, they completed certifications in Computer Science and Programming Using Python from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Effective Thinking through Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2014, Mark also obtained a certification in Control of Mobile Robots from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
