Cynthia Voegtle has a diverse work experience spanning over different roles in the education sector. Cynthia started their career in 1990 as a Tutor in the Collegebound Program, where they provided academic and personal counseling to minority high school students. From 1995 to 1999, they served as the Mathematics Department Chairperson at Wheeler Intermediate School, where they aligned the curriculum and conducted placement tests for incoming students.

In 1995, Voegtle worked as a Mathematics and Science Teacher at The Learning Center, instructing at-risk students and providing individual counseling. Cynthia then joined the Okaloosa Regional Juvenile Detention Center as a Teacher for a brief period. In 2000, they worked as a Substitute Teacher in Okaloosa County, instructing various subjects to middle and high school students.
