Hanlin Xiao began their work experience as a Data Scientist Intern at Signet Financial Management in May 2018. In September of the same year, they worked as a Machine Learning Consultant at Penn Biotech Group Healthcare Consulting. Later in October, they became a Data Engineer Intern at Welligence Energy Analytics. In August 2018, Hanlin joined the University of Pennsylvania as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. The following year, in June 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Tencent. Currently, Hanlin serves as a Software Engineer at TuSimple, a position they started in July 2020.

Hanlin Xiao completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Shandong University between the years 2013 and 2017. They later pursued a Master of Science in both Data Science and Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, completing their studies between the years 2017 and 2020.
