Tim Kelley has over 15 years of work experience, with their most recent role being the Director of Engineering at Turnitin since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Engineering at ExamSoft from October 2020 to March 2021. Before transitioning to the education technology industry, Tim held various roles at CBRE, a real estate services company. At CBRE, they served as the Senior Director and Chief Global Architect from 2017 to 2020, where they supervised multiple teams and reduced the application portfolio by decommissioning over 300 applications. Tim also worked as the Director of Enterprise Application Integration from 2015 to 2017, where they created and supervised the Application Integration Platform and API Management teams. Earlier in their career, Tim worked at Southwest Airlines as a Cyber Security Manager and Technical Lead/Solution Architect, where they led development teams and implemented innovative solutions. Tim also had a role as a Senior Software Architect at Sterling Commerce, where they facilitated multiple releases of the Gentran Integration Server product.

Tim Kelley has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering. Tim also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. In addition to their degrees, Tim has obtained several certifications including TOGAF® Certification Foundation Level from The Open Group, Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Sun Certified Java Programmer from Sun Microsystems.
