Samantha Newport is an experienced Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor currently working at Turning Tides since October 2023, focusing on supporting individuals transitioning out of homelessness. Additionally, Samantha provides online counselling at Inside Talk and has been the founder of The Room – Psy, an interactive platform for discussions on psychology and well-being, since 2014. In a role at YMCA DownsLink Group, Samantha coaches young people aged 16-25 to achieve their aspirations and develop essential life skills. Samantha holds several educational qualifications in counselling and psychology, including a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Brighton and ongoing training in therapeutic counselling and psychotherapy at Cara Counselling Training. Previous experiences include roles in medical imaging, office management, and fashion modelling, among others.
