Miguel Sanz is an accomplished professional in the travel and tourism sector, currently serving as President of the European Travel Commission and Director General of Tourspain since July 2020. Prior to these roles, Miguel Sanz was a board member of European Cities Marketing from February 2018 to August 2020 and spent over a decade at Visit Madrid as Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer. Miguel Sanz also held the position of Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Marketing at Turismo Madrid from July 2007 to June 2009, and worked as an Executive Producer at Ayuntamiento de Madrid from September 2003 to June 2007. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in European Business Studies from the University of Lincoln.
