Rafael Sánchez is a Senior Software Architect and Co-Founder at Tupl. Rafael has over fifteen years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to Tupl, they worked as a GERAN Performance Manager at Optimi, where they developed GSM/EGPRS components for the Dynamic Network Simulator. Rafael also supported EGPRS deployment and optimization activities in North America with Nokia at Cingular Wireless and AWS. From July 2005 to February 2015, they worked as a Smart Labs Expert at Nokia Solutions and Networks. In this role, they defined and performed smartphone application, terminal, operating system and network feature testing to evaluate the end-to-end user experience over LTE, 3G and 2G networks. Their goal was to understand better how interactions between smartphones and networks work, try to find ways to optimize it and provide feedback to R&D teams, Network Operators and Smartphone Application developers. Prior to working at Nokia Solutions and Networks, Rafael worked as a QoS Project Manager at Nokia from May 2000 to June 2003.

Rafael Sánchez has a Master of Science in Communications, Electronics and Telematic from Universidad de Málaga.
