Ho-Wen Chen is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering and the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Tunghai University, where teaching has been a primary focus since August 2010. In addition to academic responsibilities, Ho-Wen Chen serves as an Editorial Board Member for several journals, including Current World Environment and the British Journal of Environment and Climate Change, and holds the position of Associate Editor for the Journal of Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment and the International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology. Ho-Wen Chen's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Environmental Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, completed between 1995 and 1999.
