Matheus Lessa has a strong background in software engineering and research. Matheus started their career in 2009 as a Development Intern at WebLynx Technological Solutions, where they contributed to the development of new solutions and provided maintenance and support for legacy systems. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Researcher at the Laboratory of Optical Properties (LaPO), where they focused on building a high-performance computing cluster and improving computational techniques.
In 2013, Matheus joined Solutis Technologies and was allocated at FAPESB (Bahia's Research Support Foundation) as a System Analyst and Full Stack Programmer. Matheus played a technical leadership role in developing the FAPESB scholarship observatory and was also involved in the development of the employer's frequency control system and the marketing system of São Paulo water company (SABESP).
In 2012, Matheus joined RiSE Labs as a Researcher, focusing on software engineering and dynamic software product lines. Their research work was published in conferences and periodic publications.
In 2016, Matheus joined Peixe Urbano as a Software Engineer, where they played a key role in designing and developing the architecture for the renewal of some of Peixe Urbano's products.
In 2020, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at ConstruCODE and Tuna, where their contributions are ongoing.
Matheus Lessa obtained a Technical Graduation degree in Software Analysis and Development from SENAI-BA in the years 2008 to 2010. Matheus then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Universidade Federal da Bahia from 2010 to 2015. Matheus decided to further their education by pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, specializing in Software Engineering, at the same university from 2016 to 2018. In August 2019, Matheus obtained the Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate (SFPC) from CertiProf.
