Sasha Townsend has served as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Tulsa Community College since June 2007, specializing in teaching various mathematics courses, including precalculus, calculus, and statistics, utilizing Standards Based Grading and Cooperative Learning methodologies. Additionally, Sasha has coordinated the Math Lab, overseeing tutor recruitment, training, and management while significantly increasing lab usage. As a volunteer for the Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance, Sasha engages in educational outreach activities, and previously held the position of Executive Director at Blended Love, a nonprofit focused on supporting children after divorce. Sasha is currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics from The University of Tulsa, following a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, among other degrees.
