Megan Calahan has extensive experience in public health, currently serving as the Manager of Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response at the Tulsa Health Department since 2013. In this role, Megan is responsible for creating and facilitating training programs that utilize an all-hazards approach to emergency preparedness and response, while also responding to public health emergencies in Tulsa County. Previously, Megan held positions as a Training and Exercise Coordinator and Community Response Specialist, as well as an Environmental Health Specialist where Megan conducted audits of restaurants, hotels, and schools for FDA safety standards and provided food safety education. Prior experience includes working as a Laboratory Technician at Saint Francis Health System from 2011 to 2013. Megan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology from Northeastern State University, earned in 2011.
