Claire Dormer has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Claire started their career in marketing with Corus Hotels, where they worked as a National Marketing Executive before progressing to the roles of National Marketing Manager and eventually Head of Marketing. Claire then joined Folio Hotels as their Head of Marketing before moving on to Tabcorp as a Marketing Communications Manager.
In 2010, Claire joined LateRooms.com as Head of Marketing & UX for Australia and New Zealand. Claire was responsible for developing the brand in Australia, based on customer research, and creating a marketing strategy for the market. Claire later became the General Manager for Australia, focusing on growing the business in the Australian market.
Claire then moved to TUI Travel PLC in 2012 as the Head of E-Commerce - Sports Division, where they developed and delivered the digital and brand strategy for all brands within the division. Claire also worked on website redesigns and re-platforming projects.
After their time at TUI Travel PLC, Claire joined Mothercare PLC & Early Learning Centre in 2014, starting as the Head of Online Marketing. Claire later took on the roles of Group Head of Content and Community and Head of User Experience, where they were responsible for defining the content strategy for the brands, overseeing social media strategy and community building, and driving the digital channel strategy.
Claire's most recent role is at TUI Group, where they currently serve as the Head of Content. In this role, they lead a team of 80 professionals and is responsible for driving the content strategy and production for TUI UK&I and First Choice, including design, editorial, photography, video production, content management, and brochure production.
Claire Dormer's education history includes several notable achievements. Claire obtained a Mini MBA in Brand Management from Marketing Week in 2022. Prior to that, Claire pursued The Marketing Leadership Masterclass in 2021 to strengthen their skills in marketing and marketing management. In 2020, they completed another Mini MBA, this time focused on Marketing. Earlier in their career, between 1998 and 2000, Claire obtained a Diploma of Professional Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing. Claire'sundergraduate education was at Solent University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Design from 1993 to 1998.
In addition to their formal education, Claire also holds a certification in "The Secrets Behind Successful In-House Agencies" from Henry Stewart Events, obtained in December 2020.
