Dr. Merle Emre, MBA, serves as an Executive Board Member at TUDAG TU Dresden Aktiengesellschaft and as CEO of Dresden International University since 2023. Previously, Dr. Emre held the position of Director at Campus Hamburg for Hochschule Macromedia from 2019 to 2023 and was Director of Academic and Student Affairs at NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management from 2016 to 2019. Between 2012 and 2016, Dr. Emre worked at Stiftung Das Rauhe Haus as part of the Rectorate Staff Office at Evangelische Hochschule für Soziale Arbeit & Diakonie. An Administrative Associate at Universität Hamburg from 2006 to 2012, Dr. Emre's educational background includes an MBA in Hochschul- und Wissenschaftsmanagement from Hochschule Osnabrück, a Dr. phil. in Interkulturelle Literaturwissenschaft from the University of Hamburg, and a Master's degree in Germanistik and Politikwissenschaft from the University of Hamburg, alongside studies at Hacettepe University and Technische Universität Braunschweig.
