Michelle George possesses extensive finance management experience, currently serving as Senior Divisional Finance Manager and Head of Finance at Truworths since February 2007. Key responsibilities have included overseeing Credit, Treasury, Banking, and Budgeting, along with managing Group Consolidations and Acquisition Integration. Michelle has also contributed significantly to Group Reporting and has held various finance leadership roles within the company, including Group Africa Finance Manager and Group Management Accountant. Prior to working at Truworths, Michelle held the position of Audit Senior at Grant Thornton UK LLP. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) honors in Accounting, with education from Rand Afrikaans University.
