Terry Mughan has had a long and varied career in international business and research. Terry began their career in 2002 as an Expert Trainer for Cendant Intercultural. In 2003, they became a Professor of International Management at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. During their time there, they conducted international business research projects funded by UKTI, the East of England Development Agency, the European Commission and the OECD. In 2006, they became a Consultant for the OECD, conducting a global study of SME internationalization. In 2009, they began working as an Educational Consultant for the Centre for Information on Language Teaching. In 2012, they became a Professor at the University of Victoria. In 2014, they became an Expert in International Expansion and Development into Europe for TrustedPeer. In 2018, they became the Collaborative Research Initiator for ISE and L-GC. In 2020, they became a Researcher and Author on matters of language and culture in international organizations for Terryyoko LLC, as well as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Business at Portland State University, Oregon.
Terry Mughan's education history includes attending Cardinal Allen, Liverpool from 1969 to 1973, Lancaster University from 1973 to 1977 where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Hons in French and German, Goldsmiths, University of London from 1978 to 1979 where they earned a Post-graduate Certificate in Education in French and German, University of Aston in Birmingham from 1984 to 1987 where they earned an M.Sc. in Contemporary European Studies, and Anglia Ruskin University from 2007 to 2011 where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Business Administration and Management, General.
