Janaka Chandrasekara holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from the City University of New York-College of Staten Island and a Bachelor's degree in Finance Management from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. With extensive experience in financial management, Janaka currently serves as Finance Controller at the Trust for Governors Island since September 2020. Prior roles include Financial Reporting Accountant and Consultant in finance at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, as well as Financial Controller and Accounts Manager at various companies, including Delta Air Lines and KPMG. Janaka has also worked in the gold and organic juice export sectors, demonstrating a strong background in managing financial operations and reporting.
