João César has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. João began their career as an Analyst Programmer at Infosistema in 2004 and progressed to roles such as Consultant and Senior Consultant during their tenure there. In 2008, João joined Açoreana Seguros where they served as a Chief Programmer and later as a Software Engineer. João was responsible for various projects including the design and development of offline simulators, management of service portals, and risk quotation generation. In 2017, João moved to Tranquilidade as a Delivery Manager, where they worked on project analysis, development coordination, and the design and development of a real-time calculation engine. Currently, João is a Customer Manager at Truewind, where they are responsible for managing customer relationships.

João César obtained a High School Diploma in Computer Science from Escola Secundária da Amadora, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Following that, they pursued a Licenciatura em Informática (Bachelor's degree) in Computer Science at the University of Lisbon from 1999 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, João obtained a certification as a Certified OutSystems Developer from OutSystems in April 2005, and more recently in February 2021, they obtained an Associate Sales certification, also from OutSystems.
