Dan Hentschel has worked in the software engineering field since 1997. Dan began their career as an intern at NASA Glenn Research Center, followed by a software developer role at Eastman Kodak in 1998. In 2000, they joined Xerox Corp as a Senior Engineer System Apps Software, where they designed and implemented software to run on an embedded controller in a multifunction copier/printer device. In 2013, they transitioned to Allworx as an Architect-Product Software Engineer, where they planned, designed, and implemented Windows desktop applications and web applications to interface with Allworx server and phone systems. In 2020, they joined Datto, Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer, where they planned, designed, and implemented distributed applications for data backup running in both the Azure cloud and the Datto cloud. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Truepic as a Staff Software Engineer, where they plan, designs, and implements an Express.js application running in AWS. Dan also interfaces with technology partners, including developers from Microsoft, Adobe, and the BBC, to develop and implement a new media format: C2PA.

Dan Hentschel received their Bachelor of Science in Imaging Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology between 1994 and 1998. Dan also holds several CodinGame Certifications, including AI - LEGEND, ALGORITHMS - LEGEND, Bash, C#, C++, COLLABORATION - LEGEND, JavaScript, PHP, and Perl.
