Mark Foley

Director, Business Development at True North Mortgage

Mark Foley has extensive experience in the mortgage industry, spanning over three decades. Mark began their career as a Senior Mortgage Underwriter at Confederation Life Insurance Company, where they managed a team and provided training on mortgage underwriting. Foley then joined First Line Trust as a Mortgage Representative, handling administration and reporting for the Group Mortgage Plan and Investor Services portfolio.

In 1997, Foley moved to CIBC Mortgages, where they held multiple roles. As a National Account Manager & Team Leader, they marketed Group Mortgage Plans to various organizations and presented tax-effective mortgage subsidy plans to senior executives. Foley also implemented a real estate and mortgage referral program for corporate clients. Later, as a Business Development Manager, they focused on increasing mortgage sales and training Personal Banking Representatives in the PCF/Amicus channel.

Foley then transitioned to a role as an Area Manager for President's Choice Financial at CIBC Mortgages, where they provided sales development, planning, and training for both the Broker Channel and President's Choice in-store pavilions. Mark also worked as a Market Development Manager, offering subject matter expertise on complex mortgage products and optimizing sales effectiveness.

From 2010 to 2013, Foley served as the Director of Business Development at National Group Mortgages, where they designed group mortgage programs for corporate clients, associations, and alumni, emphasizing the lowest mortgage rates and tax-effective interest subsidy buydowns.

Currently, Foley is the Director of Business Development at True North Mortgage. In this role, they collaborate with employers, associations, and professional organizations to design Group Mortgage Programs tailored to their specific needs, providing comprehensive group mortgage benefits at no cost to the organization.

Throughout their career, Foley has demonstrated strong business development skills, knowledge of mortgage products, and the ability to build partnerships and deliver effective sales strategies.

Mark Foley completed the Ontario Mortgage Agent Course at CAAMP in 2010. From 1993 to 1995, they earned a CRF (Certified in Real Estate Finance) degree from the Real Estate Institute of Canada. In 1982, Foley began their undergraduate education at St. Thomas University in Canada, where they graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
