Andreas Gmeiner's work experience begins in 2010 when they worked as a Research Assistant at the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT). In this role, they conducted research and development of algorithms for non-stationary time-series analysis, specifically focusing on Empirical Mode Decomposition using MATLAB. Andreas also started the development and implementation of a database and data preprocessing system for the PROCEMA-project, which involved automated acquisition, storage, and processing of climatological data from various sources using Python.
In 2012, Andreas joined Regenerative Consulting as a Renewable Energy Consultant for a brief period of seven months.
Later in 2012, they joined exentra GmbH where they held several roles. Andreas started as a Software Engineer until 2014, then served as a Senior Software Engineer from 2014 to 2015, and finally became a Team Lead and Product Manager from 2016 to 2019. Andreas also worked as an IT Consultant at exentra GmbH during the same period.
From 2012 to 2021, Andreas worked at mission:five as a Software Application Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for devising mid-scale software projects and MVPs for start-ups, institutions, and mid-sized companies. Andreas collaborated with stakeholders to develop the product vision and determine the necessary processes to be digitized. Andreas also designed the architecture and infrastructure for the projects, including the database-layer, backend-layer, and frontend. Andreas implemented the products using various architectures, programming languages, and frontend frameworks such as SOA, microservices, Go, Python, F#, Clojure, and Vue.
Most recently, in 2021, Andreas joined truckoo as the Chief Technology Officer.
