Amelia Hitchings has worked in the marketing and PR sector since 2013. Amelia began their career as a Marketing Assistant at Christchurch International Airport Limited, where they were responsible for generalist marketing coordination, ATL and BTL retail marketing campaigns, marketing activation, events, trade shows and the implementation of the passenger research benchmarking. In 2016, they joined the Financial Conduct Authority as a Campaigns Associate, and was later promoted to Campaigns Team Coordinator. In this role, they supported the execution of the FCA's Ā£42m PPI campaign, led on the budget processes, forecasting and reporting, and managed multiple agencies. In 2018, they moved to NgÄi Tahu Tourism as a Marketing Coordinator, where they developed and executed all aspects of the marketing plan for Hukafalls Jet and coordinated the brand strategy for Shotover Jet and Dart River Adventures. In 2019, they joined MainPower New Zealand Limited as a Marketing & Customer Advisor, and in 2022 they were appointed Head of Marketing & PR at Trovio Group.
Amelia Hitchings attended the University of Canterbury from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Marketing, Strategy & Entrepreneurship. Prior to this, they attended Rangi Ruru Girls' School from 2000 to 2006.
