Robert Salas has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Robert is currently serving as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for Trivium Packaging, overseeing the Americas and Global Aerosol & Beverage division since January 2023. Prior to this role, they held a similar position as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for the Americas starting in November 2019. Before joining Trivium Packaging, they worked at EXAL Corporation as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis from October 2016 to November 2019. Additionally, Robert has experience as the Controller for South American Operations at Carmeuse Lime and Stone from April 2014 to October 2016. Robert also served as the Director of Finance for Shared Services at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan from December 2013 to April 2014. Earlier in their career, Robert held various leadership roles such as Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis and Vice President of Finance for Corporate Services at EDMC from 2007 to 2013. Robert also worked at HJ Heinz as the Senior Manager of Business Planning & Analysis, Carmeuse Lime and Stone as the Director of Business Analysis for North American Operations, Visteon as a Program Controller, and Ford Motor Company as a Senior Financial Analyst.

Robert Salas attended PennWest Edinboro from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish. From 1995 to 1997, they pursued further education at the University of Pittsburgh - Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, earning a Master of Public and International Affairs degree. Robert then went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business from 1996 to 1997, obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Finance. Finally, from 1997 to 2000, Salas participated in the Ford Foundation Program, specializing in Finance.
