Salim Ling has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Salim began their career at AT&T Bell Laboratories in 1986 as a Member of Technical Staff. From there, they joined Novell in 1993 as a Manager of UNIX Hardware Architecture. In 1995, Salim joined U.S. Robotics / 3Com as the VP of Engineering for the Personal Connectivity Division. Salim then moved on to Accton in 2000, where they served as the VP and General Manager of the Network Connectivity Business Unit. In 2003, Salim joined 3Com as the Vice President of Asia Operation. Salim then joined TrippLite in 2006 as the Executive Vice President of Products.
Salim Ling obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business in 1991. Prior to that, they completed their MSEE degree in Artificial Intelligence from Purdue University in 1984. Additionally, they earned a BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering & Physics from Tufts University in 1982.
