Maria Cho's work experience begins in 2000 when they started working at Vector Marketing. Maria held the positions of Senior Field Sales Manager and Branch Manager, where they were responsible for developing their own clientele, generating leads, scheduling appointments, and managing a team of over 75 sales representatives.
In 2004, Maria joined Thomas Jefferson University as a Research Technician, focusing on neurodegenerative disease research. Maria conducted lab work, including genetic and pharmacological manipulations and animal genotyping.
Starting in 2006, Maria worked at WuXi AppTec as an Account Manager, responsible for account management and business development in the biopharmaceuticals testing and manufacturing industry. Maria later became a Project Manager, overseeing projects related to biologically derived products.
Maria then joined FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies in 2012, initially as a Director of Commercial Development and later as the Senior Director of Commercial Development and Head of US Sales. In these roles, they were responsible for leading commercial development efforts and managing sales teams.
In 2021, Maria joined Dendreon as the Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Strategy. Maria played a key role in establishing development partner contract manufacturing for cellular therapies and leading strategic growth efforts in the cellular immunotherapy space.
Maria's next role was as a Co-Founder, Director, and COO at Phi Therapeutics, Inc. where they presented the world's first probiotic skincare line and managed the company's operations until 2022.
Currently, Maria holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at TripleBar Bio, Inc. Maria leads the company in developing products that address sustainability problems in food and healthcare using the power of evolution.
