Gregory Hood, MD, MACP, FRCP, is a seasoned internist and physician associated with Drs. Borders, Hood, and Associates since June 2001, where responsibilities include direct patient care and serving as treasurer. Gregory has contributed to the medical field as a columnist and blogger for Medscape since 2010 and holds the position of Medical Director for The Physicians' Network, overseeing quality care initiatives. With a robust academic role, Gregory serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky and has held several leadership positions including Medical Director for the QIP Accountable Care Organization. An active member of various professional organizations, Gregory has also participated in multiple committees related to healthcare quality and public policy, alongside contributions to medical publications as a physician editor and member of editorial boards. Gregory obtained an MD from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and a BA in Psychology and Neuropsychology from The Johns Hopkins University.
