Russ Plain

Director Customer Advocacy And Business Development at Trinity Technology Group, Inc.

Russ Plain started their work experience as a Vice President of Professional Services at Kabira Technologies, Inc. in 1999. Russ was responsible for recruiting and training staff and managing profit and loss, customer satisfaction, and revenue management. Russ then moved on to become the Director of Global Pre Sales at Latitude Communications in 2002, where they oversaw all pre-sales field services and directed customer satisfaction efforts. In 2003, Russ became the Director of the Federal Business Unit at Latitude Communications, where they devised strategy and directed marketing, sales, and support for MeetingPlace to federal agencies.

In 2004, Russ joined Cisco Systems as a Product Sales Specialist, where they developed Unified Collaboration product sales across the federal government and grew MeetingPlace revenue significantly. Russ then worked at CDWG as a Unified Collaboration Solutions Architect from 2011 to 2014, driving product sales and supporting major federal deals.

From 2014 to 2018, Russ worked as a Regional Vice President of Professional Services at OpenText, responsible for sales and delivery in the Western US. Russ reorganized the services organization and rejuvenated staff and customer belief in professional services.

Russ then shifted to Kyndi in 2018, where they served as the Head of Services until 2020. Russ joined Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP) in 2020 as a Senior Business Development/Sales Executive in the public sector. In 2021, Russ became an Account Executive at MTX Group before taking on the role of Director of Customer Advocacy and Business Development at Trinity Technology Group, Inc. in 2023.

Russ Plain attended the University of Chicago from 1974 to 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics.
