Tina Makarem has a long and varied work experience. Tina began their career in 2001 as a Business Service and Sales Representative at Wells Fargo Bank. In 2006, they became an Office Manager at Dream Home Mortgage and Realty. Tina then moved to American Apparel Corporate in 2008 as a Consumer Sales representative. In 2010, they became a Hospitality Specialist at Hillstone Incorporated. In 2012, they became a Relationship Manager at GEM Mortgage, Inc., where they worked to build strong relationships with Real Estate Agents and Brokers and efficiently close all loans within 21 days. In 2014, they became the Director of Business Development at Paysafe Group. In 2020, they became the Vice President Mid-Market Sales at Trinity Payment Solutions, LP, where they worked to provide a range of sound, safe, and reliable payment solutions to simplify customers' payment experiences. Tina also became the Owner of MAK Investments, LLC in 2020.

Tina Makarem obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications and PR from Cal State Los Angeles between 2009 and 2011. Tina also obtained an AA in Visual Communications from FIDM between 2001 and 2004. Additionally, they attended Orange Coast College, though no degree was obtained. In December 2012, they completed the NMLS 20 Hour SAFE mortgage pre-licensure course. Tina also obtained a Real Estate Sales Agent Licensure from first tuesday, the California real estate educators.
