Maurice Washington, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of agricultural water resource engineering, agricultural tech consulting, water resource control engineering, and graduate research assistance. Maurice has worked as an Agricultural Water Resource Engineer at Trinchero Family Estates, where they were responsible for vineyard water regulatory compliance and maintaining vineyard water infrastructure. Prior to that, they served as an Agricultural Tech Consultant at Leyton, providing expertise in agricultural R&D tax credit claims. Maurice also worked as a Water Resource Control Engineer at the State Water Resources Control Board, where they conducted compliance and enforcement inspections for cannabis cultivation operations. Additionally, Maurice worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Iowa State University, focusing on the fate and transport of agricultural emerging contaminants in water. Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Science degree in Agricultural & Biological Engineering from Penn State University, attending from 2010 to 2012. Maurice completed their undergraduate education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural & Biological Engineering from 2005 to 2009.

Additionally, Maurice Washington has a High School Diploma from Oxon Hill High School, having completed the Science & Technology Program from 2001 to 2005. Maurice also holds a certification as a Pesticide Safety Instructor in WPS Fieldworker and Pesticide Handler, obtained from the UC Statewide IPM Program in November 2018.
