Jim Coats

President at Triangle MicroWorks

Jim Coats has over 25 years of experience in the engineering and manufacturing industries. Jim is currently the President of Triangle MicroWorks, a position they have held since 2006. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of the DNP Users Group from 1995-2006, and was elected to the Board of Directors. From 1988-1994, Jim worked as a Manufacturing Research Engineer for Lockheed. In this role, they were responsible for product development for the medical and industrial instrumentation markets. Some of the projects they worked on include: an ambulatory blood pressure monitor, a non-invasive blood oxygen monitor, various temperature controlled instruments for the histology market, a bedside patient monitor, an industrial breaker instrumentation, a DNA sequence data entry device, a molecular biology hybridization incubator, and a blood coagulation analyzer.

Jim Coats attended Georgia Institute of Technology for both their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering.
