Tina Phillips, a native of western North Carolina, has lived in Polk County, Florida since 1981. Tina’s career has been concentrated within the accounting and data processing areas where she has been recognized for her attention to the details and knowledge of the internal workings of the companies in which she worked. Tina has been employed with Tri-County Human Services since 1996. She has been an active participant within the initiation of automation within the agency. As a result, Tina has been promoted numerous times to reflect accepting more responsibilities of oversight of the administrative areas of the agency as well as the finance department up to her current promotion as Director of Finance.
Tina attended Lakeland College of Business and received an Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degree from that institution in June of 1987. She was a recipient of the Vic Allen Memorial Scholarship award. She was awarded the President’s Trophy upon graduation. Also Tina currently volunteers in various capacities at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Winter Haven, FL.
As Director of Finance, Tina is responsible for the reporting of the financial status of Tri-County to the Tri-County Board of Directors and senior management. She coordinates and provides financial information to the outside auditors that review all financial transactions of the agency and sends audit reports to interested third parties.
Tina Phillips has been married to her husband, Mike since 1980.
