Nelda Jackson joined Tri-County Human Services, Inc., in 1995 as an adolescent counselor at Bartow Adolescent Center. She helped establish RASUW Center for Women (then known as the Residential Assessment and Stabilization Unit) in late 1995. In 2013, she was nominated and chosen as Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association’s Clinician of the Year for the Central Region. Nelda graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She then graduated from Webster University with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Nelda is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and she also is a Master’s Level Certified Addictions Professional. She is also a Master Practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming, as well as trained in EMDR and ART. Ms. Jackson has spent over 40 years devoting herself to understanding addiction and mental health issues.
