Nicholas began their career as an Office Administrator at Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley in 2011, where they provided administrative support and maintained office organization. Nicholas also served as a Health Unit Coordinator, assisting the nursing staff and counseling team with patient care. Additionally, Nicholas worked as a Personal Care Assistant and later became a PMCS Co-Trainer, delivering crisis intervention training to staff members.
In 2013, Nicholas joined Cornerstone of Rhinebeck as a CASAC Primary Counselor, working with individuals with substance abuse issues. Nicholas also served as a Transition Specialist at the Resource Center for Accessible Living, facilitating the transition of participants from nursing facilities to independent living.

Nicholas Hall's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at Dutchess Community College. Nicholas completed their Associate of Arts degree with a focus on Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities in 2006. After a break in their formal education, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree at SUNY Empire State College, specializing in Human and Community Services from 2019 to 2020.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Nicholas also holds several certifications. In 2011, they obtained a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the New York State Department of Health. In 2013, they became a co-trainer for Preventing and Managing Crisis Situations through the New York State Office of Mental Health. Subsequently, they obtained certifications in various courses such as NSC CPR Course and NSC First Aid Course from the National Safety Council in 2017. In the same year, they also acquired a Service Coordination certification from the New York State Department of Health. Nicholas's latest certification is CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor), obtained from the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services in 2015.
