Tsz Chun Wu is an accomplished professional currently serving as an Alpha Researcher at Trexquant Investment LP since September 2023, specializing in alpha signal generation and portfolio optimization. Prior to this role, Tsz Chun Wu was a Graduate Research Student at Rice University from August 2017 to September 2023, focusing on condensed matter theory and modeling novel properties in quantum materials, including proposing innovative electromagnetic probes for topological superconductors. Earlier experience includes a summer internship at the Hong Kong Observatory in 2015, where Tsz Chun Wu investigated wind disturbances affecting aircraft operations and developed a new algorithm for windshear detection. Tsz Chun Wu holds a PhD in Physics from Rice University and a BS in Physics from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
